Historic Eastfield Foundation presents

“Conversations with Craftsmen”

Saturday, October 26th, 2013
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Eastfield Village will come to life with the roar of the blacksmith’s furnace, the chipping of the stone carver’s chisel, the ring of the tinsmith’s hammer. Experience the enchanting ambience created by early argon lamps; marvel as intricate designs emerge from wood turned on a pole lathe; see how science and art intersect at the hand of the gunsmith.

Guests are invited to observe and interact with Master Craftsmen
Tom Curran, Don DeFillo, Olof Jansson, William McMillen, Joel Paradis and Norm Pedersen
as they ply their trades and explain their place in American history.
(Items will be available for sale, and Brown’s General Store will be open for business.)

Program begins promptly at 1:00 PM.
The cost is $20 per person.

At 4:30, enjoy a sumptuous dinner prepared by Niel DeMarino using historic recipes and served in the Briggs Tavern. Entertainment will be provided by magician Robert Olson, who will dazzle you with feats of prestidigitation. The cost for the meal is $50 per person; seating is limited to 40 people. Prepaid reservations are required for the dinner.
