Annie Rubel

Annie Rubel has been in the field of historic preservation for over 10 years with a specialty in restoration project management and non-profit leadership. She has worked in cultural heritage management primarily at historic sites throughout the US and the UK, as well as serving on several boards of preservation organizations. In 2023, Annie established a consulting firm called Heritage Emergency Management, which specializes in disaster preparedness and emergency planning for historic sites and cultural institutions. She is currently based in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, and travels through the US for her work.
Outside of her daily operational roles, Annie is a passionate advocate for historic trades training and education, a lover of historic barns, and excited by creative adaptive reuse projects that enhance community resilience and build strong towns.
With her years of nonprofit management, fundraising, risk assessment and emergency planning, Annie aims to contribute to organizational resilience and sustainability at the Historic Eastfield Foundation.
