Chris Tintle
Board of Trustees, Member
Chris Tintle first came to Eastfield in 1977 with his parents Bill and Judy McMillen. He immediately became fascinated with the village and spent many weeks during the summers of his teenage years there while Billy was teaching classes. Chris was often accompanied on those visits by his brother John McMillen and together they would do work in the village, explore the surrounding area, go antiquing, to flea markets and to the local town dump with Don where they learned that one man’s trash could truly be another’s treasure.
Chris loved the capital district from spending so much time at Eastfield, when it was time to go away to college it was easy to choose SUNY Albany. After graduating he stayed in the Albany area and made frequent trips to the village. He has been a Revolutionary War and Civil War reenactor for many years, loves American history and material culture. He now lives and works in the insurance industry in New Jersey and is proud to carry on his parent’s legacy by being a part of the Historic Eastfield Foundation board.
He has taken one course at Eastfield (Traditional Stonecutting) and has taught one (Timber Frame Restoration) with Don Carpentier. He lives in the forested hills of Western Massachusetts.
