Join in for an opportunity to equip your kitchen or hearth with hand-forged practical utensils, such as a ladle, spatula, tasting spoon, flesh fork, lid-lifter, etc. Learn to work at the forge and anvil to make these items using tongs, hammers, chisels, punches and other tools. This program is appropriate for beginners as well as those with intermediate experience.

This workshop runs concurrently with our Basic Open Hearth Cooking class so consider teaming up with a partner or friend to learn either program, and stay together at Eastfield Village.

Instructors

Steve Mankowski

He is the owner of Pine Tree Forge and Blacksmiths at Historic Jamestown, VA. He was a journeyman at the Anderson Blacksmith Shop in Colonial Williamsburg for more than 30 years. He has researched and made fine reproduction hardware for home and museum restorations all over the country.
